Europass – CVs and letters of application
One of the crucial skills that a young person entering the job market should have is to be able to present themselves to their future employer. Therefore the students have to be able to write their CVs and letters of application in their mother tongue as well as in the foreign languages they study.
In their foreign language classes – mostly in their English classes the students were introduced to the Europass platform that provides standardized forms for application letters and CVs. The students first had to assess their knowledge of foreign languages and to complete the Language Passport so they could later add it to their CV.
They also learned the basic rules of writing a good CV. In Slovenia they also learned those same things in their German and Spanish classes. This way the students not only learned how to write a CV and a letter of application but they also improved their entrepreneurial skills as well as their IT and language skills.
